Chapter 6: The Homeless Lieutenant General

Mentioning the Ohara incident, Saria actually couldn’t help but vent her frustration. Whether it was the scholars’ actions, the Navy, or even the World Government, from Saria’s perspective, they all seemed utterly unreasonable. But in the world of One Piece, such irrational people were the majority. Ordinary individuals like her, with normal ways of thinking, appeared somewhat out of place.
Yet, when facing Robin, Saria restrained her urge to complain. She wasn’t particularly warm-hearted or eager to help others. She was willing to lend a hand only to characters she liked, and only if it wouldn’t interfere with her own interests. Saria’s view on the Ohara incident was merely her own opinion; she didn’t want to delve into such profound topics with Robin.
“Well, if we’re talking about who was most at fault for the Ohara incident, it has to be the World Government,” she said. “Whatever you want to do, just do it firmly. Don’t pay too much attention to the opinion of a passerby like me.” Saria gave Robin a thumbs-up. “I believe you can do it! After all, you’re part of the main crew!”
Thinking of the future tall and elegant Robin with her long legs, Saria stubbornly asked, “Robin, don’t you really want to try on Sora’s uniform?” Robin crossed her arms, assuming the attack stance of the Hana Hana Fruit.
“Okay, okay,” Saria quickly admitted defeat. “If I bring this up again today, I’ll consider myself a puppy.”
Nico Robin gave Saria’s strange obsession a disapproving look.
“But what can I really do?” Robin murmured softly.
It was precisely during this leisurely time, with food and shelter secured, that Robin could calm her mind and contemplate her life.
“If I hadn’t met Miss Judith, I might have been captured by the World Government long ago.”
Robin sat down naturally, resting her elbow on the table and gently supporting her chin with her palm, exuding a gentle scholarly aura. She looked at Saria, suddenly smiling and saying, “I just hope I won’t be riddled with bullets like a hornet’s nest then.”
That remark left Saria momentarily speechless—Robin’s deadly dry humor had appeared.
Saria blinked at Robin. “Don’t worry. If you ever do get turned into a hornet’s nest, I’ll burn a Sora uniform for you every year as a memorial.”
“Six-Wheel Flower: Anchor Bloom!”

In an instant, Robin activated the powers of the Hana Hana Fruit, sprouting six arms that grabbed Saria’s neck, arms, and legs.
“Sorry,” Saria apologized skillfully. “I was wrong.”
Meeting Robin’s deep gaze, she hurriedly added, “I mean, you definitely won’t be caught by the World Government.”
“With that broccoli-wielding vagabond watching over you, there’s no way the World Government or any pirates will get you.”
“So, Robin, don’t worry.” Saria tried to soothe Robin and get her to retract her powers.
“Broccoli? Vagabond?” For a moment, Robin couldn’t figure out whom Miss Judith was referring to.
But soon, a tall, slender figure appeared in her mind.
At the same time, outside the door, a tall shadow lifted his visor and silently glanced at his own clothing.
Kuzan scratched his head in confusion. No matter how he looked at it, he didn’t resemble a vagabond.
Kuzan, the famous Navy Vice Admiral known as “Aokiji,” had released Robin at Ohara and had been quietly watching over her for years.
A year ago, when he noticed news about the “Devil’s Child” Nico Robin disappearing from the West Blue, Kuzan didn’t hesitate to skip work. Riding a bicycle, he came to Ragu Island and observed Robin’s daily life there for some time.
Kuzan originally thought some pirate faction must be hiding Nico Robin on Ragu Island. He planned to wait for their appearance, capture them, and urge Robin to leave the island.
After Saria’s “Judith” clone appeared, Kuzan discovered her and began eavesdropping outside.
However, Saria’s Kenbunshoku Haki wasn’t fully developed; she didn’t notice the much stronger Navy officer Kuzan.
When Kuzan heard the woman say “Happy Birthday” to Nico Robin, his surprisingly humane nature made him decide to wait until after Robin’s birthday to reveal himself, capture the woman, and urge Robin to leave Ragu Island.
Unexpectedly, Kuzan, still “listening in,” also heard the woman’s views on Ohara.
The Ohara incident was a thorn in the hearts of both Nico Robin and Kuzan.
After Ohara, Kuzan felt confused about the justice upheld by the Navy.
Saria’s evaluation of the Ohara incident was something Kuzan had never considered—completely different from the perspectives of Fleet Admiral Sengoku, the World Government, or his rival Akainu.
Like a deafening thunderclap, it suddenly exploded in Kuzan’s mind, stirring waves that kept him restless for a long time.
Kuzan decided not to arrest this beautiful lady and instead continued to “listen in.”
The usually lazy Kuzan was surprisingly curious to hear what else this seemingly broad-minded lady had to say.
But he never expected that, in her mouth, he would suddenly become a vagabond.

Robin’s form trembled, her pupils dilated instantly. “Miss Judith, are you talking about—”
That person was one of Robin’s nightmares, someone she least wanted to mention.
Navy Vice Admiral Kuzan, code-named “Aokiji.”
Robin didn’t know how to face Kuzan, but no matter what, she had an unconscious fear of him.
Even merely mentioning Kuzan’s name made her body tremble uncontrollably.
The six arms sprouted from Robin on Saria trembled slightly as well.
Saria hadn’t expected that simply mentioning this vagabond—without even saying “Kuzan”—would provoke such a strong reaction from Robin.
The “Judith” clone gently approached and hugged Robin, soothing her.
“That vagabond’s not here right now. Don’t be so panicked.”
“And before you tremble in fear, could you please put those arms down from me?”
“When you shake, it makes me involuntarily shake too.”
Robin didn’t listen. Instead, she controlled the Hana Hana Fruit arms to hold Saria tighter.
Her voice carried a hint of fear; deep inside, she was anxious.
“I don’t know, Miss Judith.”
“But I do know that Navy Vice Admiral Kuzan will be the first person to come and arrest me.”
On the day Ohara was struck by the “Demon Extermination Order,” Kuzan released Robin and warned her before she left:
“You’re free to hate whoever you want, but you should be grateful to be alive. From now on, just try to survive quietly. And remember, I’m not your friend—I’m the first person who will come after you when you do something wrong.”
Feeling Robin’s trembling and unease, Saria gently patted her back.
She recalled the storyline. “Logically, Vice Admiral Broccoli is the one silently protecting you behind the scenes, preventing you from falling into the hands of the World Government or pirates.”
“If Beast Kaido came to catch you now, I’d definitely abandon you and run away alone. But Vice Admiral Ice isn’t the same—the old ice cube would definitely fight Kaido for you.”
“Robin, the fact that you survived the Ohara ‘Demon Extermination Order’ and haven’t fallen into anyone’s hands yet is largely thanks to that vagabond’s quiet efforts.”
“So, Robin, you really don’t need to be afraid of that vagabond, do you?”
