The novel has officially launched.
It is time for the book to go live. Well, I suppose I lack the sincerity for a dramatic appeal, so I will spare you the sob story. I will likely have a small burst of updates tomorrow.
Since I promised to write a million words, I will certainly see it through to the end, even if the performance of this book has already exceeded my initial expectations. When I wrote the first chapter, I actually harbored dreams of becoming a literary sensation, only to realize that I had steered the plot in the wrong direction. But so be it; I might as well stay the course. Let this be an exercise in completing a million-word manuscript.
People always go through peaks and troughs. If the subscription numbers are high, I imagine I will enjoy a very long peak period.
I will do my best to ensure this book does not become a mere accounting of events. I have a sneaking suspicion that I am quite talented at writing mundane logs—I should have majored in accounting back in college instead of mechanical engineering. There was not a single girl in that department; I ended up cramped in a dormitory with nothing but guys. What a pity.
The book is officially launching. I ask for your support with the initial subscriptions, though I am well aware that asking will not magically conjure them up. After all, I made the same request for my previous book, *Just a Taoist*, and we all know how that turned out.
To conclude: it is live!
*Handbook of Mythology* is now live. Updates are currently in progress; please wait a moment. Once the content has been updated, please refresh the page to access the latest chapters.
