Arriving at the final door, Yu Chi did not hesitate and opened it directly.

The room was empty, devoid of anything.

Sunlight streamed in from the balcony, and as Yu Chi stepped inside, she found it warmly comfortable.

After a routine search, she discovered there was nothing inside.

Yu Chi left the room and closed the door behind her, only to be startled by the sudden appearance of the wet nurse.

Cradling a much-grown monster, the wet nurse approached Yu Chi with a gentle expression.

With a beaming smile, she said, “My child has grown up.”

“Would you like to see?”

Yu Chi looked at the creature she held out—a monster now with fully formed limbs. Its little hands were dry and shriveled like ordinary withered branches.

Not only that, the creature’s entire body was parched, its mouth stretched wide to reveal sharp, serrated teeth.

Judging by those teeth, Yu Chi suspected it could easily bite off her finger in one bite.

“You’re such a good child,” Yu Chi said sincerely, tapping its small arm.

“I think so too,” the wet nurse replied softly, gently rocking the creature in her arms with a faint smile.

But after the smile faded, her tone turned cold and icy: “Are you willing to raise it?”

Yu Chi: ...

This was the first time she had encountered someone offering a child.

“No, you should take good care of your own child,” Yu Chi declined.

The wet nurse sighed, holding her child with a look of regret. “What a pity.”

Yu Chi passed by her and returned to her room on the seventh floor.

Since then, she had not left her room.

Lying on the bed, she opened the cloning app and noticed that the number of copies had changed.

From five to six—someone else had entered the clone.

Did this clone require six people to proceed?

At night, the building began to stir again.

Yu Chi sat on her bed with two types of medicine and a pregnancy test laid out before her.

She picked up the box of pregnancy-supporting medicine and read the instructions, discovering it had no side effects.

She decided to follow the doctor’s orders, breaking two pills and swallowing them with water.

Afterward, Yu Chi felt no change in her body.

It seemed the medicine was ineffective.

At that moment, there was a knock on the door. Irritated, Yu Chi scratched her head, got out of bed, and went to open it.

Outside stood An He, smiling. “May I come in?”

Yu Chi said nothing, her gaze scanning An He from head to toe.

“I just want to talk about how to successfully get out of this clone,” An He explained, tilting her head slightly when Yu Chi remained silent.

“Alright, come in,” Yu Chi said, stepping aside to let her in.

Seeing her back, Yu Chi furrowed her brows—her visitor was not friendly.

An He sat on the sofa and immediately asked, “Do you like children?”

“I like children very much; every child is an angel.”

“They’re so adorable.”

Yu Chi did not respond but went to the kitchen. After some tinkering, she brought out two glasses of water.

“Here, drink this.”

An He did not move but stared intently at Yu Chi with dark eyes, continuing, “Do you like children?”

“I hate children the most; they’re noisy and irritating,” Yu Chi said just as cries of a baby echoed from outside.

Both women heard the cries. Yu Chi frowned and clicked her tongue, displeased.

An He’s complexion grew even darker.

She picked up a glass and took a big gulp. Before setting it down, she suddenly clutched her stomach in pain.

The glass slipped from her hand and crashed to the floor as she rolled onto the ground, writhing in agony.

Holding her belly, An He glared at Yu Chi and demanded, “What did you put in the water?”

“Abortion pills.”

Those words made An He’s eyes widen.

“Ahhh, you’re doomed!” she screamed, curling up in pain.

Unable to bear it, she transformed into the form of a monster.

Her entire body turned black; her nails lengthened into claws, fangs emerged, and a tail sprouted.

At that moment, a kitchen knife hidden on her person fell to the floor.

Yu Chi realized that An He had come to kill her.

“I’m going to kill you—” An He shouted in rage, then, struggling through the pain, stood and swiped her claws viciously at Yu Chi.

Seeing the sharp claws hurtling toward her, Yu Chi rolled behind the sofa to dodge the lethal strike.

“My head...” she groaned, clutching her skull as she hit the floor.

Before she could recover, An He charged in front of the sofa again, shouting, “I’m going to kill you.”

“Good grief,” Yu Chi scrambled to her feet and dashed toward the door.

But An He was faster, sprinting after her and slashing her claws brutally across Yu Chi’s back.

Pain instantly radiated throughout her body, and Yu Chi collapsed.

Blood flowed from the wound—damn, it hurt.

Is this the price of becoming beautiful?

An He approached and pressed her claw onto Yu Chi’s body, then extended her long tongue to lick the wound.

The lick intensified the pain, and Yu Chi couldn’t help but cry out.

“Does it hurt?” An He asked. “Losing your child will hurt like this too.”

Yu Chi didn’t want to listen to her ramble. A monster growing inside her belly was creepy enough.

She glanced around, spotted the fallen kitchen knife, and slowly reached for it.

Today, only one of them would survive.

Already injured, would she be the one to die?

“Go to hell!” An He raised her claw high, about to strike when a gunshot rang out from outside the door.

The bullet struck An He squarely in the forehead.

Seizing the moment, Yu Chi grabbed the knife and stabbed it deep into An He’s abdomen.

One stab wasn’t enough; she withdrew and plunged it in repeatedly.

She understood the importance of finishing moves.

After stabbing, Yu Chi rolled away as An He staggered in shock.

The door was then forcefully kicked open. A man dressed in black, holding a handgun, burst in.

Three others followed him. Seeing the scene inside, they were all stunned.

“An He is actually a monster!”

“We’ve been with her so long and never noticed!”

Ji Chao’s face turned pale as he looked at An He’s monstrous form, but the newcomer showed no expression.

He raised his gun and fired multiple shots into An He’s head.

Those shots ended her life. She lay there with wide-open eyes, a look of unwillingness to die upon her face.
