Jiang Yi was still immersed in the strange joy of his newfound abilities and didn’t pay much attention to Guo Hanxue’s expression. He confidently placed three bottles of water and some hemostatic spray on the bed. “First, clean yourself up with the water, then spray the medicine.”

Guo Hanxue didn’t move but stared at Jiang Yi dryly. Jiang Yi looked up in confusion. “What are you looking at?” Then a sly smile curled on his lips, and with a lecherous expression he said, “Could it be that you want me to help you?”

Guo Hanxue’s face changed drastically, and she immediately put on a stern expression with a cold snort: “Get out!”

Seeing Guo Hanxue getting angry, Jiang Yi took two steps back, looking innocent. “If you don’t want it, fine, why get mad? I’ll just leave then.” Watching her leave without hesitation, a complicated emotion flickered in Guo Hanxue’s eyes.

Jiang Yi waited for over an hour, and just as the sky outside was about to brighten, Guo Hanxue finally put on a clean school uniform and opened the door.

Jiang Yi yawned. “You’re really slow. I’m the patient here, and you’re heartless to leave me waiting outside.”

Guo Hanxue gave him a sharp look. “Don’t get cocky. Even though you saved me, we still have unfinished business from yesterday!”

Jiang Yi, lying on the bed, was taken aback and looked at her. “What exactly happened yesterday that made you want to kill me?”

A flash of hatred appeared in Guo Hanxue’s eyes as she glared fiercely at Jiang Yi. “Still playing dumb? If it weren’t for those bastards torturing Jiao Jiao for over two hours, she wouldn’t have been pushed to jump off the building to kill herself!” Just thinking about Jiao Jiao’s agonizing screams and despair for those long two hours, Guo Hanxue wished she could shoot this scumbag right here and now.

“Wait, you said jump off the building? Are you talking about that woman from yesterday?” Jiang Yi suddenly sat up, his face shocked as he looked at Guo Hanxue.

Guo Hanxue sneered coldly. “What? No longer pretending to be innocent? Remember now? You’re nothing but beasts worse than animals! Jiao Jiao trusted you so much, and yet you did that to her...” By the time she finished, Guo Hanxue was already sobbing uncontrollably.

When she heard Jiao Jiao’s screams yesterday, hiding on the fifth floor, Guo Hanxue nearly went mad. She and Jiao Jiao were classmates in high school. Though they weren’t in the same department in college, they often kept in touch since they lived in the same dormitory.

If it weren’t for the zombies roaming outside the fifth floor, Guo Hanxue would have definitely stayed with Jiao Jiao these past days.

Yesterday, she risked her life fiercely killing zombies in the corridor, but when she rushed to the sixth floor and burst open the door, she only caught one last desperate glance from Jiao Jiao standing by the windowsill!

Guo Hanxue knew exactly what had happened by the smell and scene inside the room. She wanted desperately to find those who had violated Jiao Jiao, but zombies on the fourth floor blocked her path, forcing her to return to the fifth floor with deep regret.

Jiang Yi stomped his foot angrily. “Don’t lump me together with those two bastards! Yesterday’s incident has nothing to do with me!” Then, under Guo Hanxue’s suspicious gaze, he angrily recounted how he was ambushed by them yesterday, only hiding the truth that he had just gained his abilities that day.

Guo Hanxue still found it hard to believe. “Are you telling the truth?”

Jiang Yi rolled his eyes. “Obviously! Don’t believe me? Go check the third floor. The room I stayed in yesterday is filled with corpses! If I had done the same despicable things as them,I'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
