"Wife, the way you help people, even the Bodhisattva would be ashamed by comparison," Old Yu said slyly, wrapping his arms around Yi Xiaoyu’s waist and resting his chin in the hollow of Yi Xiaoyu’s shoulder. "I just love you like this."

Yi Xiaoyu was busy slicing vegetables for dinner, paying no mind at all to the man behind him and his teasing.

Old Yu gazed at his wife’s handsome, aloof profile, frowning thoughtfully before he asked, cautiously, "Xiaoyu, why did you give up the company?"

Previously, Yu had wanted to return all the shares he’d gotten from Yi Xiaoyu, and even planned to offer a majority of his own company’s shares as compensation, but Yi Xiaoyu had refused everything.

At the time, Yi Xiaoyu hadn’t explained, only saying he had other plans. Still, Old Yu couldn’t shake his unease, suspecting that Yi Xiaoyu hadn’t truly forgiven him—why else wouldn’t he accept the compensation?

Yi Xiaoyu seemed interested in the topic now. He turned, leaning back against the kitchen counter, smiling at Yu. "Actually, I was just about to tell you—I’m planning to change careers."

"Change careers?"

"Yes. I intend to invest in a few films. The movie market’s been booming these past years, and I happen to have a few friends in that field." Yi Xiaoyu stroked his chin. "Maybe I’ll even start a film company someday, sign some artists under my name, hmm." He patted Yu’s shoulder. "With your connections and resources, I think this dream could really come true. Don’t blame me for taking advantage of you—I owe it to your deception."

"We’re husbands." Old Yu squeezed Yi Xiaoyu’s hand, grinning in a fawning manner. "Whatever you want to do, I’ll support you completely. Wife, go for it—I’ll provide the funding."

Yi Xiaoyu raised an eyebrow. "All the money you earn ends up with me. What funds are you providing?"

"...Uh... I mean, I’ll work hard to earn more."

Seeing Yu hesitate, Yi Xiaoyu folded his arms and smiled, asking, "Fatty, do you have something to say? Speak up. I’m in a good mood right now—even unpleasant news won’t bother me."

Old Yu lowered his head, fiddling with his fingers. "If you choose this path, you’ll have to deal with lots of artists. You know the entertainment industry has all kinds of shady rules... What if someone tries to get ahead by climbing into your bed?"

"You say that, and now I’m actually looking forward to it—surrounded by so many handsome men and beautiful women... Heh, that must be quite an experience."

Old Yu got anxious. "You’re a married man!"

Yi Xiaoyu chuckled, pinching Yu’s chin and shaking it gently. "We haven’t even put pen to paper yet. You’re worrying way too early." He cupped Yu’s face, gently licking his lips, his voice low and seductive. "No artist could ever compare to my Fatty. In my heart, no one could ever measure up to him."

Those words were nothing short of a powerful aphrodisiac for Old Yu, striking him straight to the heart the moment they reached his ears.

Old Yu wrapped his arms tightly around Yi Xiaoyu’s waist, burying his face in his neck, kissing and nibbling. Yi Xiaoyu was forced to tilt his head back, exposing a graceful neck line. "Fatty... stop... that’s... it tickles... ah..."

Yi Xiaoyu’s broken breaths sent Old Yu’s blood surging. He kissed Yi Xiaoyu almost roughly, mumbling, "Dare to seduce me, you’re dead. Just wait and see what I do to you tonight..."

"I still have to... make dinner..."

"Damn dinner!" Old Yu, wild-eyed like a beast with bristling fur, lifted Yi Xiaoyu up and, not even bothering with the bedroom, pressed him down onto the sofa.

He didn’t know how many times they went at it; even after all that, Old Yu’s energy was still full, holding a dazed Yi Xiaoyu astride him, grinning wickedly, "Wife, come on, ride me..."

"You... you damned fat... ah... no..."

Old Yu deliberately prolonged the process, tormenting Yi Xiaoyu until his eyes brimmed with tears of humiliation and helplessness, a sight that made Old Yu so excited, he thought his blood vessels might burst. He wished he could devour the man whole right then and there.

In the end, dinner went untouched. Yi Xiaoyu passed out from exhaustion, and just before losing consciousness, only one thought lingered: he must never utter such sweet words to this fat man again.

Otherwise, one day, he really might die of exhaustion in bed.
