Master of Divine Power There is always a higher realm beyond the one we know. 2732 words 2026-03-20 10:41:55

The bloody and terrifying scene before them sent chills down the spines of not only the hall masters engaged in battle, but also the onlooking disciples, men and women alike, whose mouths hung agape in horror and disbelief.

“My heavens! Is the Thunderclasp King Beast truly this fearsome? Senior Brother Liu Run was already on guard, yet he was struck dead by the beast’s thunderous power in a single exchange? How is that possible?”

“How could it not be? Look at how horribly Hall Master Zuo died—first slain by a single thrust from Chu Feng, then ground to nothing by the Thunderclasp King Beast’s whirling wind columns. Not even bones remain! This beast is terrifying!”

“If you ask me, Chu Feng is the truly frightening one! He can actually subdue a creature like the Thunderclasp King Beast—just what kind of supernatural abilities does he have? And the way he and the beast fight together is perfectly coordinated; how does he manage that?”

“Brothers, Chu Feng’s momentum is overwhelming—could he truly turn the tide single-handedly? If he manages to suppress Liu Shenghua, won’t our own lives be at risk?”

“Alas! Elder Liu thought victory was in his grasp, but with Chu Feng’s forceful intervention, everything has changed. The situation is anything but optimistic!”

The Feng Sect’s disciples and hall masters, faced with the violent deaths of Liu Run and Zuo Qianshan and witnessing Chu Feng’s formidable strength and thunderous methods, were all deeply unsettled. Their faces grew long and anxious, brows furrowing with worry.

In stark contrast, the disciples and hall masters of the Thunder Sect breathed a collective sigh of relief, their spirits suddenly soaring.

Especially the six immobilized individuals seated in sedan chairs—Lei Yingfeng, Fan Shang, Han Mo, Lei Jianqin, Fan Qianjun, and Tang Jiao—who, upon seeing Chu Feng’s arrival, felt both hope and anxiety. They were glad for this savior, yet fearful his strength might not suffice, that he’d not only fail to save them but lose his life in vain.

But now, it seemed, Chu Feng was more than confident. With the Thunderclasp King Beast fighting at his side, his strength was clearly far from ordinary—perhaps he truly could reverse their fortunes.

The male warriors managed to compose themselves, but Lei Jianqin and Tang Jiao were already brimming with tears of excitement as they gazed at Chu Feng—moved by both his bravery and overwhelming martial prowess.

“Senior, with Young Master Chu’s momentum, he might actually defeat all five traitorous hall masters single-handedly!”

“Indeed, with the strength Chu Feng has displayed, defeating the five hall masters is no great feat. The real challenge is Liu Shenghua—that old fox! His skills are exceptional, and the Feng Sect’s footwork is as elusive as mist and clouds. I fear Young Master Chu will have his hands full!”

“If Young Master Chu can turn the tide, that would be ideal. But even if he’s defeated, we Thunder Sect disciples can’t just stand by and do nothing!”

“Exactly! Young Master Chu isn’t even a member of the Wind and Thunder Martial Hall, yet he risks his life for us. How can we remain unmoved? Even if we can’t join the fight, we can at least cheer him on and bolster his morale!”

“Young Master Chu, mighty and invincible! Young Master Chu, mighty and invincible!”

Led by three Thunder Sect hall masters, a hundred or more disciples raised their voices in unison, waving their arms and fists, cheering for Chu Feng as he fought fiercely before the hall.

Though their shouts could not harm the enemy, at this moment, their rousing cries greatly strengthened Chu Feng’s momentum and suppressed the arrogance of Liu Shenghua’s faction—a battle of hearts and wills.

Perhaps everyone in the Feng Sect understood that Liu Shenghua’s rebellion lacked legitimacy, and maybe they were cowed by Chu Feng’s thunderous methods; at this moment, none of them dared raise their voices as the Thunder Sect did. Either they were anxious for their own fates, or wholly absorbed in the spectacle before them.

Before the hall, the battle raged on!

Once the Thunderclasp King Beast unfurled its wings, the resulting wind columns were so fierce that even the nearest onlookers had to stand beyond fifteen yards; within ten yards, no one could remain upright.

Yet Chu Feng, using the Gale Step, moved nimbly within those ten yards. Though it was said that five hall masters beset him at once, in truth, Chu Feng faced them one at a time.

Wen Lie was gravely wounded by a wind column the moment he entered the fray—alive or dead, he was already out of the fight.

When Zuo Qianshan’s body was shattered, Chu Feng seized the moment as Feng Xiyan reeled in terror, flicked the sword from his hand with one spear thrust, and pierced his heart with the next, sending him into the raging wind column—Feng Xiyan fell the same way as Zuo Qianshan.

All five hall masters were at the sixth level of the Body Refinement stage, with superior energy control compared to Chu Feng’s fifth-level strength.

Yet, against Chu Feng and the Thunderclasp King Beast, within a few heartbeats, three hall masters had already been killed or severely wounded.

By now, Xu Ye was completely entangled by the Thunderclasp King Beast. The beast toyed with him like a cat with a mouse, each time countering Xu Ye’s attacks with his own force, driving Xu Ye to fury and despair, as if facing a demon.

Zhao Dongqiang, however, was a slippery one. Sensing the battle had turned against them, he stopped attacking and feinted, then turned to flee.

“Hehe, trying to run? How amusing!” Chu Feng sneered. He unleashed the Soul-Rending Thrust—a shadow flickered, and in an instant, he was behind Zhao Dongqiang. With a surge of force, Chu Feng hurled the Overlord’s Pursuing Shadow Spear like a giant arrow.

Crack!

The golden and steel-forged spearhead sank deep into Zhao Dongqiang’s neck, shattering bone as it went.

Zhao Dongqiang’s fleeing body froze in place.

“What… what a tyrannical strike!” Blood spurted from his neck; despairing eyes fixed on Chu Feng, and he croaked these final words from his gaping mouth.

“I wouldn’t dare claim as much,” Chu Feng replied coldly. He yanked the spear free, and Zhao Dongqiang’s burly frame, pulled by the tremendous force, was hurled more than fifteen yards before crashing heavily against a hall column.

Just moments ago, Zhao Dongqiang had been arrogant and fierce; now, he lay dead at Chu Feng’s feet, no more than a heap of rotting flesh.

Witnessing his comrade’s grisly end and being toyed with by the Thunderclasp King Beast, Xu Ye panicked completely and cried out, “Brother Liu, save me! Save me!”

Roar!

Xu Ye’s shout clearly enraged the Thunderclasp King Beast. With a sweep of its wings, the wind column reversed, yanking Xu Ye directly before the beast.

The Thunderclasp King Beast’s mighty wind columns could blow enemies away, ensnare them in place, or even drag fleeing foes back.

“Brother Liu, please save—”

He hadn’t finished the plea when his body was pressed against the beast’s chest and seized tightly in its forepaws.

Crackle! Snap!

Thunderous energy crackled visibly across the beast’s body. As it embraced Xu Ye, bolts of lightning danced and snapped, and the stench of scorched flesh filled the air.

In the blink of an eye, Xu Ye—sixth-level Body Refinement—was reduced to a pile of ash by the Thunderclasp King Beast’s lightning.

Not a trace of flesh or bone remained; only a few charred fragments scattered to the floor.

“Haha, one swipe and nothing but bones left! Thunderclasp King Beast, you are truly savage!” Chu Feng laughed with satisfaction, patting the beast’s neck. “But perhaps you’re a bit too brutal—killing is killing, but must it be so gruesome? You’ll frighten our enemies out of their wits!”

Woo… woo…

The Thunderclasp King Beast seemed to understand, shaking its head with a low, excited hum as thunder swelled in its maw.

All around, faces blanched with fear—the Thunderclasp King Beast was simply too terrifying. Not only was it devastating in combat and slaughtered with ease, but its bloodthirsty aura was unmistakable. It was nothing short of a demon king.

“Young Master Chu, mighty and invincible!”

“Young Master Chu, mighty and invincible!”

The Thunder Sect disciples’ cheers rose like crashing waves, each one louder than the last, echoing in every direction.
