Li Lekang quickly finished his oatmeal porridge, changed into a pair of shorts, then, after a moment's thought, grabbed half a dozen beers from the fridge and headed downstairs.

It was nearly noon, and a few people were playing in the pool. As soon as they saw him approaching with the beers, two girls started waving at him.

"Looks like you two didn't get enough to drink last night!"

He handed out three bottles, but they were all empty.

Before they could ask, they saw him gently tap two of the empty bottles together, and suddenly, the beer inside was replenished!

Daisy stared in utter astonishment, and Sandra was equally incredulous.

Then Daisy burst out cheering, "Wow, you're even more magical than Jesus!"

Li Lekang chuckled, settling into a lounge chair. "Isn't this the benefit of being friends with a magician?"

Sandra, leaning on the pool's edge, said, "I wanted to invite you to the party last night, but you weren't home."

He clinked bottles with them and replied, "What a pity. I was out having dinner with my agent, discussing some things. Got back pretty late."

"Agent?" Sandra suddenly remembered. "Oh, right! How's the talent show going?"

"Made it through to the next round," Li Lekang smiled. "I'll be performing in Vegas next time. And I signed with LAA, so there should be more stage shows coming up."

"LAA? I’ve heard that’s a great company!"

Daisy sounded genuinely envious.

"You’re going to be a big star! Oh my god!"

The white girl’s tone was adorably animated. Li Lekang smiled, "I certainly hope so!"

"I can't believe you just arrived and already have such an opportunity. Honestly, I'm jealous—really!" Sandra mused.

They chatted about the messy goings-on of the entertainment world for a while. Perhaps because it was the weekend, the pool was getting crowded, someone had brought out a speaker blaring noisy music, and their conversation got cut short.

Sandra complained, "I just want to find a quiet place to sunbathe."

Daisy pointed upward, "Why don’t we climb up to the roof?"

Li Lekang knew she was afraid of heights, and sure enough, Sandra shook her head. "I’d rather go to the beach."

"Then why not?" Daisy grew more excited. "Hey, Lekang, you have a car, right? How about we go to Santa Monica Beach?"

Li Lekang had no plans for the day, and with two gorgeous girls being so enthusiastic, he nodded. "Of course. But my car’s still at the bar parking lot from last night—we’ll need to grab an Uber over there."

"Perfect, we need to go back and change anyway!" Sandra agreed happily.

So, they all got up and headed upstairs. It didn’t take long; getting ready for the girls meant just slipping into a dress, or in Daisy’s case, simply throwing on a pair of hot pants over her bikini, leaving her top unchanged.

Once the car arrived, the three of them rode to the bar.

Reaching the parking lot, when Li Lekang pressed his key fob and unlocked the Maserati in the corner, both girls were stunned. "Wait—this is your car?"

He opened the door, grinning. "Not bad, right?"

"Not bad? It’s amazing! I love it!"

Daisy, more lively, made no effort to hide her surprise and delight.

Sandra, more composed, didn’t exclaim, but her eyes betrayed a hint of envy.

Li Lekang got in, opened the convertible top, making the ride even more comfortable for them.

This Maserati was quite spacious—almost five meters long, the back seat was far from ornamental, and compared to other convertibles, it was even generous.

With two beauties on board, Li Lekang switched to sport mode, shifted gears manually, and roared onto the street. Stepping on the gas, the force pressed them back into their seats, greeted by squeals from the girls!

He rested one hand on the door, grinning at the scene: California sunshine, the roar of a supercar, and two fiery, passionate beauties... This was the true life of a time traveler!

He drove west along Sunset Boulevard, passed through Beverly Hills, hit the freeway for a stretch, and finally arrived at the coastal road of Santa Monica.

The classic wooden pier, the Ferris wheel, the parking lot, the vast expanse of beach—a wave of familiarity washed over him; he felt he could drive with his eyes closed and still find his way.

With the throaty purr of its engine, the Maserati rolled into the parking lot, attracting the admiring gazes of passersby. Wearing sunglasses, Li Lekang’s lips curled into a smile; he was slowly falling in love with life here.

After getting out, he led the two girls to the southern part of the beach.

He’d never been before, yet the sense of déjà vu was overwhelming: the bike path across the sand was bustling with people, the open-air gym was full of muscle-bound men pumping iron—no doubt some “five-star citizens” had come here to challenge the musclemen.

On the sand, people lounged in pairs and small groups, sunbathing or chatting about life.

Jet skis occasionally darted across the sea, adding to the colorful, lively scene.

They bought drinks together, found an open spot, spread out a mat, and sat down. The girls’ first order of business was sunscreen—one was afraid of UV rays, the other craved a bronzed tan.

Sandra, with her Latina heritage, had a naturally tanned complexion that Daisy, a fair-skinned white girl, envied. Then she handed Li Lekang a pleasant task: "Help me put some on my back, superstar!"

Daisy, never shy, unclipped her top and lay face-down on the mat, her fair back exposed. Up close, it wasn’t exactly flawless—faint freckles and fine down were visible.

Such differences between ethnicities were only natural. He’d seen plenty by now and thought nothing of it. The girl was slim, but her figure was enviable—slim waist, but not lacking in curves, the kind diet-obsessed women would die for.

Li Lekang spread the sunscreen evenly over her back. Daisy, lying prone, couldn’t stay still; she turned her head and asked, "What kind of girls do you like, Lekang?"

At this, Sandra also looked over with interest.

Just as Li Lekang was about to answer, Daisy cut in, "Wait, let me guess. You Asians probably like the obedient, kawaii, sweet sort, right?"

Li Lekang laughed. "I’m sure many do, but it doesn’t represent everyone."

"So you’re not one of them?" Daisy caught on. "Oh—I bet you like Sandra, the type who’s hard to handle!"

"Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?" Sandra protested from the side.

"Oh, come on, she’s a walking hormone! Even as a woman, I want to pin her down and have my way with her. Anyone with normal taste would be tempted—I admit defeat. I thought passion would win you over, but all I get is your cold, polite hand!"

Daisy, always a tease, lamented theatrically.

Li Lekang didn’t dare say too much. "You’re great too."

"Really? So, can we… date?"

Sandra, sipping her drink, was startled and choked, incredulous at Daisy’s brazenness. Was this woman really so shameless, flirting right in front of her? She’d met him first, after all!

That’s how women are—when it’s handed to them, they don’t care. But the moment someone else wants to take it, jealousy flares and possessiveness awakens!

Daisy was the bold interloper, completely transparent, or perhaps just passionate and direct—she even admitted she liked men who could drive a Maserati with one hand.

"And I’ve never dated an Asian guy before. I hear they’re all very gentle—just like him! So polite and restrained, while any other guy would have been all over me by now!"

With such blunt praise from the white girl, Li Lekang could do nothing but smile.

Sandra, meanwhile, was inwardly cursing her as a brazen vixen—she really had no shame when it came to seducing men… though she didn’t realize, it was jealousy twisting her feelings!
