[Preface: This novel is a Star Wars fanfiction, set in an entirely different universe. It bears no connection to any persons or regimes on Earth; everything is purely fictional and holds no allegorical or satirical intent. It is simply a space opera.]
[Throughout the novel, I will upload images depicting relevant characters, ships, and settings to the bonus chapters, offering readers a more vivid impression. However, these images can only be viewed on the Qidian mobile app.]

1. Greetings, Administrator

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

-----

STAR

WARS

-----

The Galactic Republic has ruled the galaxy for over 25,000 years. Throughout these millennia, the Republic brought prosperity, abundance, and security to the entire galaxy.

Yet, in this vast span of history, the Republic never established a centralized and efficient administrative system. Bureaucracy, oligarchy, and loosely organized authority rendered the Republic a colossal bubble—grand, ornate, dazzling, but unfathomably fragile.

Rather than a nation, the Galactic Republic more closely resembled a loose alliance of sovereign planets, with countless hidden dangers lurking beneath its glamorous facade.

From the most developed central regions, the galaxy extends outward, roughly divided into the Core, Inner Rim, Mid Rim, and Outer Rim. The farther from the center, the poorer and more backward the planets become, though their numbers increase.

Among the Republic's myriad contradictions, the most potent undercurrent was the conflict between the impoverished, neglected worlds of the Outer Rim and the wealthy, advanced planets of the Inner Rim and Core. This was the tension between exploiters and the exploited, and the rise of separatist movements.

But before these contradictions could ultimately push the Republic to its downfall, a colossal ship descended upon the Modell sector, at the galaxy's edge, marking an X for the unknown in a galaxy destined for turmoil...

...

"You must make a choice... Tang Xiao."

"The stars are burning, people are suffering, millions of innocent lives are lost each day... And now, fate has placed opportunity before you. Will you accept it, or refuse?" A deep and mysterious voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

Tang Xiao found himself standing amidst an endless starfield, gazing down at countless shining suns. "Am I... dreaming? Accept? Accept what?" He raised his hands before his eyes; they felt ethereal, yet strikingly real.

Suddenly, a massive warship swept overhead! Its sheer size meant it took a full thirty seconds to pass. Cold gun barrels pivoted ceaselessly, then unleashed beams of light dozens of times larger than Tang Xiao himself.

Ahead, another fleet had appeared without warning. Both sides engaged in fierce combat—laser bolts filled the void, tearing the tranquil starfield to shreds.

Starfighters launched, buzzing around the colossal warships like insects, dogfighting and exploding in flashes of fire.

In the vacuum of space, all was silent, but the brutality was unbearable.

The warship above Tang Xiao was struck by heavy artillery; its armor ripped open, flames spreading. He saw crewmembers sucked out into the icy void, struggling in utter despair.

"This is..." Tang Xiao looked toward the distant fleet—those enormous ships with triangular hulls and towering bridges, surrounded by countless H-shaped fighters.

His memory clicked, and he paled. "TIE fighters! Imperial-class Star Destroyers! This... this is the battlefield of Star Wars!"

Suddenly, everything shattered like glass. Tang Xiao found himself back in the radiant starfield, but now he could clearly see wars raging on every planet below him, mushroom clouds from nuclear explosions rising in succession.

"You have made your choice, and fate will reward you." That deep, mysterious voice echoed again.

"Hey! What did you make me choose? I haven't decided yet! Hey..." Tang Xiao barely finished his protest before a force pulled him in, spinning him endlessly.

It felt terrible, as if he'd been flushed down a toilet.

"Hey! Send me back~~~~~~~~~~"

...

[Arrived at target star system: name unknown, coordinates unknown.]
[Initiating planetary scan: diameter 4,900 kilometers, orbiting a gas giant, rotation period 18 standard hours, revolution period 402 standard days.]
[Atmosphere composition: A2 grade, breathable for humans. Main terrain: forests, mountains, tropical grasslands, plains. Surface water coverage: 8%. The planet's surface is primordial, showing signs of intense tectonic activity.]
[Conclusion: The planet is suitable for human habitation, but its small size cannot meet societal developmental needs. Overall rating: B+.]

[Hyperspace core experiencing unknown malfunction; unresponsive. Until connection is reestablished, the mothership cannot jump. Ceasing cruise, initiating interstellar colonization protocol.]

[According to Chapter 7, Article 1 of the Interstellar Colonization Act: AI must awaken the administrator upon determining that colonization can proceed, and the administrator shall fully oversee the colonization operation.]

[Awakening administrator; hibernation recovery in progress...]

[Greetings, Administrator Tang Xiao.]

Hearing his name called, Tang Xiao groggily awoke from sleep, his mind feeling as though it were about to explode—filled with an overwhelming influx of management, psychology, sociology, basic agriculture, basic industry, and all manner of miscellaneous knowledge, stuffed in like force-feeding, nearly bursting his head.

The intense discomfort jolted him awake. He found himself in a pristine white room, lying in a glass pod—narrow, yet remarkably comfortable. The white light, from unseen sources, illuminated the entire room so thoroughly that even shadows were indistinct.

Unknown instruments stood about, manipulated by automated mechanical arms. A few potted plants in the corner lent a fresh atmosphere.

Wherever this was, it was certainly not the Mikemi Hotel where he had fallen asleep.

"What is going on..." Tang Xiao muttered.

[You are the administrator of this ship, Mr. Tang Xiao. During your hibernation, you completed the requisite management training. We have now arrived at a habitable planet; please decide whether to commence colonization.] An elegant synthesized female voice spoke.

"Who are you? Where am I?"

[I am the mothership's central control computer. You are in the mothership's living quarters, specifically the administrator's medical bay. Once fully conscious, please proceed to the bridge. If you require nutrition, simply request it.]

"Mothership? What mothership?"

[This is a gigantic mothership equipped with a hyperspace core, built for interstellar colonization. Information on the origin civilization is lost. Now, this mothership belongs to you. All residents and crew boarded with the highest honor, chosen by you, to embark on this journey.]

[The mothership contains 600,000 residents in hibernation and 50,000 crew, also in hibernation. Crew can be awakened for emergencies. All residents and crew are carefully selected and trained, each mastering distinct specialties to better serve colonization.]

[Additionally, the mothership houses a massive embryo bank, containing five billion human embryos. Biotechnology can accelerate their growth to maturity within ten years.]

[Now, the entire mothership and everyone aboard are at your service, Administrator.]

Tang Xiao's mind was still in chaos. First, he had a bizarre dream, with a voice urging him to choose something, and now he had awoken to command a super mothership? A ship capable of housing 600,000 people must be enormous!

He struggled to stand and approached the mirror above the washbasin. Reflected was a bright, youthful face, albeit a bit pale.

It was still his own face, yet it had been meticulously cared for—skin smooth, hair and brows neatly trimmed, looking exceptionally fresh.

He wore a white uniform with a gold-trimmed, wide collar, the material soft and resilient, so light it felt weightless.

I've... crossed over? The words thundered in Tang Xiao's mind. His previous life—parents, friends, everything—was gone.

Now alone, he had arrived in this unknown world! The shock almost made him stumble; he rushed to the washbasin, seeking cold water to clear his head, but found only perfectly warm water.

He tried to lower the temperature, but couldn't find a switch anywhere on the seamless basin, frustration boiling within him.

"Lower the temperature! I want cold water! Cold water, do you hear me?!" Tang Xiao was agitated, angry, his rage surging as he slammed his fist against the mirror.

The smooth surface cracked into a spiderweb of fractures, his hand bleeding profusely. The pain in his head returned, nausea rising, and he vomited into the basin.

The medical bay door slid open; two young, beautiful nurses rushed in. One supported Tang Xiao, the other quickly bandaged his hand.

"The administrator may be experiencing abnormal hibernation reactions! He needs an injection of Antominfen!" one nurse exclaimed.

A mechanical arm at the medicine cabinet prepared a syringe within seconds and handed it to the nurse.

"Administrator, listen to me. You're physically fine. This medication will soothe your mind. Just two more hours of regular sleep and you'll be back to normal," the nurse said earnestly, cupping his face.

Tang Xiao, agitated, shoved the nurse away and roared, "Get that syringe away from me! All of you, get out! Out!"

"But, Administrator—"

"Get out!!!!"

The two nurses quickly retreated, though their silhouettes lingered at the doorway, clearly still waiting.

Tang Xiao sighed deeply, returning to the washbasin. "Set the water to cold. You can manage that, right, computer?"

[I am the mothership's central control computer. You may call me Mainbrain. Water temperature adjusted—please enjoy.]

Cold water splashed over Tang Xiao's face, clearing his thoughts as he began connecting the events.

It was obvious that the dream and his crossing over were linked. The mysterious voice had prompted him to choose—whether he had chosen or been tricked, the final words were clear: "You have chosen; fate will reward you."

Was the mothership the reward?

Why was he chosen? Tang Xiao recalled the fleet battle he witnessed in his dream; those ships were unmistakably from Star Wars.

Did he cross into Star Wars? If so, in a universe where planets explode at a whim, this mothership seemed woefully inadequate—even an EVE Titan couldn't hope to survive!

Tang Xiao sat alone in the medical bay for a long while, until Mainbrain urged him.

[Administrator, the mothership's supplies are extremely limited. If you have recovered, please proceed to the bridge and assume command. If you still feel unwell, I can summon medical personnel.]

"No need. Let's go to the bridge. Now," Tang Xiao replied, rising.

[Finally, a clarification: many seem to misunderstand the concept of the Fourth Great Cataclysm. It does not refer to summoned players or immortal players. The Fourth Great Cataclysm, from Stellaris, follows the Void Demons, the Purification Protocol, and the Swarm Invasion—the fourth is the player using console cheats.

So if you're here for summoned immortal players, please click the close button at the top right and spare yourself the trouble. And if you're expecting the protagonist to conquer the world from an office, making calls, you can also exit now—no need to waste anyone's time.]
