36. A New Legendary Figure!

After a full circuit, the notebooks of several administrators were already filled. Tang Xiao walked over, patted Graham on the shoulder, and said, "Remember, this is how you handle such luxury villas. If there are any more of these 'big shots' to be awakened in the future, follow this standard. Ensure the service is top-notch, and make sure everything is fresh! Water them more, fertilize them often! If you run out of fertilizer, go to the Department of Public Health; they manage a massive septic collection system, so there’s plenty to go around. In short, make sure they feel like they are embracing nature and experience what true luxury is all about!"

"Yes, yes! I will see to it at once!" Graham nodded repeatedly, eager to comply.

Graham’s efficiency was high; by the time Tang Xiao walked out of the villa, he already saw people gathering wildflowers and vines to be transported over.

"What’s going on over there? Are there any major construction projects in the city recently?" Tang Xiao asked casually, pointing toward several tower cranes rising at the foot of the mountain ahead.

"Well, we are planning to build a firearms factory in that industrial zone. It will produce our Type 21 assault rifles, along with the corresponding 5.56mm ammunition and 30mm grenade rounds," Graham replied.

"Have you considered laser guns? And we also captured some blaster pistols earlier, didn't we? Can those be mass-produced?" Tang Xiao asked.

"That was Chief of Staff Qi Jian’s decision after comparing the pros and cons of various firearms. As for laser guns, the infrared laser wavelength we currently possess is too long, causing severe scattering within the atmosphere, so they aren't very effective. While blaster pistols are excellent, our technicians analyzed them and discovered that their ammunition is a strange, highly flammable and explosive gas—far more volatile than methane. Until we can stably acquire this volatile gas, mass-producing blasters is impossible," Graham explained.

Tang Xiao nodded. He recalled that when that Farlin woman tried to double-cross them near the planet Ruun, it was precisely their assault rifles' rapid rate of fire that allowed them to completely suppress the bounty hunters using blaster pistols.

It goes to show that whether it's bullets or blasters, any weapon that can kill is a good weapon.

After staying in Dawn City for a night, Tang Xiao, accompanied by a T-850, found a scenic spot to sit and watch the horizon.

Incidentally, the T-850 following him now was a brand-new unit; the previous one was undergoing repairs in the mothership’s production bay due to heavy damage.

Tang Xiao took a deep breath, soaking in the atmosphere of nature. He had noticed earlier that his Force reserves recovered incredibly fast in such an environment. Conversely, while in space, his connection to the Force was somewhat dampened, and recovery was much slower.

Moreover, he had recently gained new insights into his use of the Force. It seemed that whenever his emotions ran high, the Force within him became more volatile.

Tang Xiao didn't want this. He did not want to be led by his own emotions, as that might lead him to make impulsive decisions.

One must never allow emotions to dictate their actions, especially given his current position—a single fit of rage could truly leave thousands dead in his wake!

He sat cross-legged, a subconscious choice. He had often seen monks meditate this way in the past; perhaps it helped him focus his mind.

Feel the nature... feel the earth, feel the air, feel the grass, feel the forest, feel the startled flocks of birds, feel the animals running wild.

"Manager." The T-850’s low, mechanical voice rang out. "You have been meditating for four hours. During this period, there were two calls from Graham, four from the Mainframe, and one from Clement."

Tang Xiao opened his eyes and exhaled a long, stale breath. With a light wave of his hand, a stone flew through the air into his palm, which he caught firmly. Satisfied with his performance, he smiled slightly and said, "Connect me to the Mainframe."

The T-850 placed a wireless headset on Tang Xiao. Then, the Mainframe’s voice came through: [Manager, another legendary figure has met the awakening criteria and is ready to be awakened.]

Tang Xiao’s eyes lit up. "Understood. I am returning to the mothership by transport shuttle immediately!"

On the way back, Tang Xiao couldn't wait to open the personnel list to see which legendary figure could be awakened.

He had figured out a pattern by now: these legendary figures were all characters from the movies, television shows, and games he had seen in his previous life! Most of these individuals were pivotal figures in their respective worlds, and almost every one of them possessed top-tier skills in their unique fields.

Take the previously awakened Chunter, for example. His masterful starship piloting skills allowed him to maneuver a YT-1000 light freighter through a blockade of three Munificent-class frigates and dozens of Vulture droids, breaking through the perimeter and escaping unscathed!

Furthermore, although the time had been short, Chunter seemed to have an innate talent for getting along with everyone around him. Regardless of their faction or species, he always used his unique charm and sense of humor to bridge gaps and obtain the intelligence he needed.

It was only because the Fourth Civilization was still in its infancy that Chunter was largely held back, unable to spread his wings and roam the galaxy freely. However, Tang Xiao believed that when Chunter finally soared through the stars, he might bring back unexpected and immense rewards!

Because of this, Tang Xiao had been hesitant to awaken that one incredibly dangerous yet equally powerful legendary figure, intimidated by the sheer weight of that thunderous name.

And now, before he had even gathered the courage to negotiate with that person, a second legendary figure was ready to be awakened! This was a surprise beyond surprises!

However, when he connected to the mothership’s system via the chip implanted in his brain, opened the awakening list, and saw that name among the legendary figures, the smile on his face gradually froze.

He knew this person, of course.

And naturally, this person was powerful.

But this person... was gray.

It wasn't that the person was inherently evil, or that they were difficult to get along with—in fact, they were quite easygoing. But the things this person had done had led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands. And he could dictate the lives and deaths of even more!

Not through armies, and not through political power, but through... trade.

He walked between justice and evil, between light and darkness. He was constantly struggling against his own desires, yet he succumbed to them every single time. And yet, with every step he took further down the path of darkness, he felt immense agony and regret, but still, he walked on, step by step, without hesitation.
